Nobody consciously inspects the floor when they walk into a reception area, but everybody notices it. Grey traffic lanes running from the lift to the front desk say something about a business that no amount of new signage will fix. Commercial carpet is also the hardest working surface in a building, absorbing hundreds of foot passes a day in the same narrow corridors, and it degrades in a predictable pattern that is entirely manageable if you get ahead of it.

We work around your operating hours. For most offices that means evenings or weekends, so the carpet is dry and the space is fully usable by the time staff arrive. For retail and hospitality we work early mornings or between service periods. For medical and dental practices we can work to your infection control requirements and supply product data sheets in advance.

Carpet tiles and broadloom

Most modern commercial installations are solution dyed nylon tiles over a hard backing. They are tough, colourfast and tolerate a hotter, more aggressive clean than domestic wool, but the hard backing means water has nowhere to go if too much is applied. We match extraction to the installation and where a floor is heavily soiled we will encapsulate first, which lifts the bulk of the soil and lets the extraction pass finish the job with far less moisture.

Maintenance contracts

Reactive cleaning, where the carpet is only touched once someone complains, is the most expensive way to run a floor. By the time a lane looks obviously dirty the fibre has already taken abrasion damage that cleaning cannot reverse. A scheduled programme, typically quarterly on entrances and traffic lanes with two full floor cleans a year, holds appearance at a consistent level and reliably adds years to the replacement cycle. We will price a programme against your floor plan and invoice monthly if that suits your accounts process better.
